Born in Swift Current, SK and raised in Calgary, Monte Scott grew up knowing the value of hard work. He started competitive baseball at a young age and excelled through the years eventually earning himself a Scholarship to Peru State College in Nebraska. During his 4-year tenure at Peru State, Monte received All-American Honorable mention 3 times, was named MCAC Conference Player of the year in 2002, and was recently inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. Upon completing his B.Sc. – Business Management and Marketing in 2002, Monte returned home and has been working in Calgary’s Oil & Gas scene ever since. He currently works in technical sales – for Foremost Energy Equipment and has been in this role the last 4 years running. Having a love of many sports Monte has always enjoyed boxing but was really re-introduced to it over the last year – originally for fitness purposes but this transitioned into more personal training sessions as his like of the sport grew. Through one of his friends it was suggested he participate in a boxing match for charity.
